A Burlington man is among four people that were arrested during a Toronto drug investigation.
On Saturday, July 1st, the Toronto Police Service investigated and arrested the four suspects. The report says a fully loaded 9mm Taurus handgun with 11 rounds of ammunition in the magazine was found during the bust, as well as an unspecified quantity of drugs.
22-year-old Adriel Rodrigues of Toronto was charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm Without Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Careless Storage of A Firearm
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Occupy Motor Vehicle with a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
- Possess Prohibited/Restricted Device (Overcapacity Magazine) While Not Authorized
- Traffic a Schedule I Substance
- Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime – Under ($5000)
- Three counts of Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited by Court Order
21-year-old Aaron Verghese of Burlington was charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm Without Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Careless Storage of A Firearm
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Occupy Motor Vehicle with a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace

- Traffic a Schedule I Substance

25-year-old Awais Khan of Toronto was charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm Without Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Careless Storage of A Firearm
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Occupy Motor Vehicle with a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
- Possess Prohibited/Restricted Device (Overcapacity Magazine) While Not Authorized
- Traffic a Schedule I Substance
- Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime – Under ($5000)
- Four counts of Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited by Court Order
Khan was also wanted on a Canada Wide Parole Warrant which was also executed upon his arrest.
An unnamed 15-year-old male of Toronto was charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm Without Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Careless Storage of A Firearm
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Occupy Motor Vehicle with a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
- Possess Prohibited/Restricted Device (Overcapacity Magazine) While Not Authorized
- Traffic a Schedule I Substance
- Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime – Under ($5000)
They appeared in court on Sunday, July 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre.
