Thistle and Rose has lived a small life so far but has made a big impact on the community.
Andrew the intern spoke with Bill Perrie, One of the owners of the pub along with Debbie Perrie, about his journey with pubs and how the Thistle and Rose came to be.
Bill and Debbie decided to open up the pub during the pandemic. While it may have not been the best of times, Bill talks about the positives after the pandemic came to an end.
The name Thistle and Rose relates to Debbie and Bill and who they are. Bill talks about the origin of the name.
Bill gets asked the question “what makes a great pub?” a lot. He always has the same answer every single time.
When it comes to the most important aspect of a pub, bar or restaurant, Bill believes it lays in the interaction with customers. He talks about one part of the interaction that’s very important.
With the Blues and Jazz festival coming to Orangeville, The Thistle and Rose has some big plans coming up for it.
Head down to the Thistle and Rose on Broadway this weekend to enjoy great music and great company!
