Prepare for a potentially smoky few days here in Milton.
With wildfires happening out west, more than 29,000 people have been reportedly asked to flee their homes.
The heavy smoke is starting to move around the country, as well. It’s gone north into Northwest Territories, and spreads out as far east as Newfoundland. It’s also likely to dip into southern Ontario and into the northeastern United States, if it hasn’t already.
When it comes to heavy smoke during a smoke advisory, it’s a good idea to limit activity outdoors. You don’t want to go for your daily jog while your lungs are filling with smoke.
