It’ll be a pair of hockey games for your playoff bound Milton Menace this weekend.
On Friday, February 3rd, the Menace will head to the St. Michaels College School Arena in Toronto to play the St. Michaels Majors. According to our records, it will be the first meeting this season for the two teams.
This will also be the first meeting between the teams since they completed a trade involving goaltender Christian Trianni and forward Ryan O’Toole heading to the St. Mike’s in exchange for forward Jared Coccimiglio. In 18 games with the Menace, Coccimiglio has eight goals and six assists. On the other side, O’Toole has eight goals and 16 assists in 21 games for the Majors, while Trianni has a .904 save percentage with a 6-6-0 record in 12 games.
The Menace are 26-13-1-2 through 42 games, giving them 55 points on the season. They’re in fourth place in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) North/West Conference. They’re four points back of the Georgetown Raiders, and six points back of the Burlington Cougars. Milton’s leading scorer is Aidan Hughes, who has 26 goals and 40 assists in 42 games. The Majors are middle-of-the-pack in the OJHL South/East Conference. In 44 games, the team has a 17-21-2-4 record, giving them 40 points and placing them in seventh in the conference. They’re leading scorer is Giacomo Martino with 25 goals and 25 assists in 42 games. View their player stats here.
Game-time on Friday night is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the St. Michaels College School Arena.
