Enjoy the lights and sounds of Conservation Halton’s Winterlit!
Visitors can enjoy a magical, illuminated walk through the woods, admire the inspirational upcycled art installations along the trails and take a moment to relax by the fire with friends and family. Food and hot beverages are also available for purchase to enjoy during your visit through the snowy woodland.
Speaking with the Manager of Outreach and Education for Conservation Halton, Brenna Bartley, she says the event is now in its third year and they’re always looking to adapt and better the experience.
Bartley calls it a celebration of nature, winter, and community. She describes the event as a great way to get rid of those ‘winter blahs’. It’s grown to be a special event for the organization, proven by someone deciding to propose to the significant other along the trail.
Winterlit will once again have its extra special Enchanted Evenings event taking place this year. In addition to the regular Winterlit programming, guests can enjoy live music, strolling through paths with Fire and Ice performers, shopping at a small vendor marketplace, and sipping alcoholic beverages from local craft breweries and wineries. Enchanted Evenings was offered on New Year’s Eve and will return for Valentine’s Day weekend. It tends to sell out quickly, so people are encouraged to book early.
Conservation Halton will also provide guided Owl Prowls offered by Mountsberg’s Raptor Centre staff on February 3rd and 4th.
Winterlit is available until Monday, February 20th. Get your tickets here. The event is offered Thursday to Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. It’s held at Mountsberg Conservation Area, located at 2259 Milburough Town Line in Campbellville.
