The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week. The updates come out on Thursday afternoons.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show an additional death in the totals. The death was a Burlington resident, giving the city 154 deaths total. Oakville remains at 119 deaths total. Milton remains at 72 deaths. Halton Hills remains at 68 deaths total. Halton is now at 414 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 175 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 54,440. There have been 1,475 total hospitalizations in Halton and 414 deaths.
In Milton, we had 29 new cases. That brings us to 14,273 total cases. There have been 343 total hospitalizations in Milton and 72 deaths.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,412,078 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,258,015 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:

- 71,859 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
