Registration is now open for this year’s Heidi’s Walk for Hope, hosted by Family Transition Place in Orangeville.
The event will feature a 5-k walk around Island Lake Conservation Area, local food trucks, a vendor marketplace, and more.
The annual walk honors the legacy of Heidi Lee Ferguson, raising awareness to prevent future violence against women.
The event date is September 18th.
Here’s what’s on the schedule:
9:30 a.m. — Registration opens, complimentary snacks available for participants
10 a.m. — Vendor Marketplace, raffle and silent auction open
10: 40 a.m. — Opening remarks, guest speakers
11 a.m.–12 p.m. — Participants walk the marked 5km trail
12–1:30 p.m. — Food trucks, vendor marketplace, silent auction and raffles continue
1:30 p.m. — Silent auction and raffle winners announced
2 p.m. — Vendor marketplace closes
2–3 p.m. — GoYoga Restorative Yoga (must register separately)
