The Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced this year’s All-Star selections and InStat Prospect selections.
Two Milton Menace players were named all-stars and three were named to the InStat Prospect team.
Both Holden Rogers and Jordan Stock are all-stars in the OJHL this year.
Rogers, the 20-year-old Hamilton-native stands at 5’9″, 160 lbs (according to Elite Prospects). In 52 games, he has 34 goals and 30 assists for 64 points. That compares to six goals and 17 assists over 54 games with Milton in 2019-2020.
Stock is the captain of the Menace. He’s led the team through its inaugural season and through the pandemic. The freshly turned 21-year-old stands at an imposing 6’4″, 204 lbs. Over 51 games, Stock has 28 goals and 31 assists for 59 points.
Looking at the InStat selections, the Menace have Lucas Buzziol, Cole Semeniuk, and Alessandro Petreccia on the list.
Buzziol has been making an impact since day one this season. The 17-year-old is third in team scoring with 47 points (18 goals, 29 assists) in 49 games. He’s ranked 167th in the NHL’s Central Scouting System for North American skaters, meaning he as a shot at being taken in the later rounds in this year’s NHL Draft.
Semeniuk has been a steady player for the Menace on the backend. The 17-year-old 6’3″ right handed defenceman has 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) in 37 games.
Petreccia has shown flashes of talent this year, earning him his spot in these selections. The 2004-born players has played most of the year with the Menace, putting up six goals, 18 assists for 24 points in 48 games.
