The Hills of Headwaters Collaborative is a team of health care providers and organizations in our community, working together to improve the overall well-being of Dufferin-Caledon.
Over the past two years, the pandemic has proven to be a trying time for many, in more ways than one.
On February 27th, the Hills of Headwaters Collaborative will host a virtual community conference to shed light on the health care and resources available to residents in our community.
FM101 spoke with the hosts of the event, Heidi Vanderhorst and Bob Borden (Co-Chairs of the Community Wellness Council) about what the community can expect at the meeting.
Mental Health is one of many topics to be discussed during the event – Tim Smith (Program Manager of the Canadian Mental Health Association) speaks about the impact Covid-19 has had on mental health across Dufferin County.
Trudy Mulder-Hall (Clinical Lead, Bethell Hospice in Caledon) says Advance Care Planning is a topic that many don’t like to cover, but is a very important conversation to have with loved ones.
The Virtual Event runs this Sunday from 2:30p.m. to 4:00p.m.
