Michelle Hanson has been given a two-year conditional sentence, in the death of her then three year old son Kaden in 2018.
Hanson will spend 18 months under house arrest and will only be permitted to leave for specific and approved reasons.
For the 6 months following, she will be able to leave her residence, but will be under curfew.
She will not be allowed to drive during her sentence, and will continue to take part in counselling.
Hanson pleaded guilty to criminal negligence in the operation of a motor vehicle causing death in November 2021.
