There are 1,290 new reported cases of Covid-19 in Ontario today.
This represents the highest daily total cases in more than 6 months.
155 people are in ICU, 131 of which are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
There are 5 new cases in Dufferin County, as reported by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, and 22 active cases.
90.2% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 87.4% are fully vaccinated.
Premier Doug Ford seems to be indicating that the province will not expand access to rapid COVID-19 tests, ahead of the holiday season.
Ford is standing with his current policy of providing free tests to symptomatic people, close contacts of a COVID-19 case and public school students over the holiday break.
Ontario is doing 57% of all rapid tests in the entire country — more than all other provinces and territories combined.
