The Ontario government is supporting a huge investment made by local companies E. Hofmann Plastics and Rochling Engineering Plastics.
E. Hoffman Plastics have invested $20 million to build a brand new 41,000 sq. ft. automated warehouse that will improve efficiency and increase their production in manufacturing packaging, using thermoforming and injection moulding techniques.
Ontario’s investment of five point two million dollars, will see thirty new job opportunities open up between the two local companies.
The province says the investment will help strengthen local manufacturing, create good jobs, and attract investment to Orangeville and the surrounding area.
FM101 was on location at E. Hoffman Plastics during the November 25th announcement, and caught up with MPP of Dufferin-Caledon Sylvia Jones, and Paul Kalia, President and CEO of E. Hoffmann Plastics.
The Regional Development Program provides cost-shared funding to businesses, municipalities and economic development organizations in order to help communities attract investors, diversify their economies, and create more jobs.
