Construction on the Caledon Trailway, that will bring town-wide high speed internet to Caledon, begins today.
The fibre-optic installation, which will span from The Gore Road to Mclaughlin Road, will see approximately 85 percent of Caledon residents and businesses, within range of high-speed internet services.
Telecommunications company Vianet, who have taken on and funded the project, will also offer business and residential internet services, once the construction is completed.
The construction will cause minimal impact, and will not cause closures to the Caledon Trailway.
Although, those who use the trail are being asked to use caution when hiking through the trails, and to stay clear of construction crews and equipment.
The project is scheduled to be complete, weather permitting, by December 31st.
