The Rabba Roots Community Program has been recognized in the Community Service/Local Impact/Giving Back category of the inaugural 2021 Impact Awards program.
The community program was launched by Rabba Fine Foods with the hope of providing people access to food, as well as health and emergency services.
Rima Rabba, spokesperson for Rabba Fine Foods, says the Roots program allows them to display who they are.
“Contributing to local communities is at the very heart of who we are. We are honored to be recognized by our peers but, most importantly, we are hopeful that we can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbours.”
Through Rabba Roots, the company has recently helped local emergency shelters, food banks, children’s hospitals and provided funding to help ICU units through a longstanding partnership with Trillium Health Partners.
Honourees of the 2021 Impact Awards were selected by the editorial board of Canadian Grocer for demonstrating meaningful initiatives in a range of areas – from helping the planet to supporting employees and communities.
