An investigation conducted by the Caledon Community Response Unit, resulted in Charges to a 61-year old driver from North York.
The 10 seater van was travelling with 15 passengers, most without seatbelts, and inoperable brakes.
The licence plates were seized and the vehicle was towed from the road.
It only takes a few seconds to buckle up. A properly worn seatbelt greatly increases your chances of surviving a motor vehicle collision. Please remember not to overload your vehicle – every passenger requires a dedicated seat and seatbelt.
