At 10:30 this morning, Orangeville Hydro reported a large power outage that affected 5000 of its customers.
Orangeville District Secondary School was among those who were left without power.
The utility company says it was caused by a pole that caught fire on Broadway.
Electricity was restored at about 2:13 this afternoon.
