Voting for the Rotary Community Choice Grants goes live today.
Member of the Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands, Michele Fisher explains the club wanted to help non-profits and charities that were left strapped by the pandemic.
Fisher explains what would happen if these organizations cease to exist, which according to her, is a possibility as a result of COVID impacts.
Fisher says the decision is in people’s hands, as voters could choose which 3 organizations on the shortlist would be given a $1000 grant.
The final two recipients will be selected by the Rotary Grants Committee.
