The Orangeville Public Library is connecting cardholders to WiFi.
The library is circulating 10 mobile SmartSpots to cardholders who may not have reliable internet connection at home or otherwise unreliable internet.
Patrons will only need a Wi-Fi ready device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop to connect to the internet.
CEO Darla Fraser says, “With the expansion of online learning due to COVID-19, public libraries have a role to play in bridging the digital divide to give all students an equal opportunity to succeed.”
