COVID-19 is impacting snow days at the Upper Grand District School Board.
The school board says Dufferin elementary schools are within a division that in the event of a snow day, those schools will be closed to all students and instruction will shift to remote learning.
The same goes for Dufferin high schools.
UGDSB says this is because historically, there have been numerous days where staff at those elementary schools are unable to safely report to work due to road conditions, despite their best efforts.
And the reason for the changes on no-bus days in Dufferin secondary schools is because under the current quadmester model, no-bus days have the potential to significantly impact student learning.
