The location of the pending transit hub was tossed around again among Orangeville council.
After council decided to situate the transit transfer station along Broadway between First and John Streets, it held off on pushing the decision along until a safety study was done.
In the end, council went back to the drawing board and chose to task staff with investigating the Edelbrock centre as a venue for the hub, however, councillor Grant Peters stood firm on the initial decision.
Councillor Lisa Post was also in opposition, stating it was a waste of taxpayer money to pay for a consultant study and then not choose the recommendation.
Meanwhile, the rest of council was concerned for downtown businesses and how loss of parking space could impact their sales.
