Last summer Dufferin County council passed a motion that’ll ensure an acknowledgement of the traditional Indigenous land the county is situated on upon every meeting.
Amaranth mayor, Bob Currie’s response: issuing a notice of motion that’ll have council voice another acknowledgement at the start of every meeting.
County staff will include the item in the next meeting’s agenda and council will deliberate it then.
