Construction of a $56 million fibre optic project in Orangeville is officially underway.
Wightman Communications Ltd. is laying down 350,000 meters of underground fibre optic cable in Orangeville’s industrial park.
While businesses will get first dibs, the telecom will begin servicing residential customers next year and the telecom plans to open a retail location in Orangeville next year as well.
