That stretch of Hockley Road, just west of Airport Road and leading up to it, well Mono deputy mayor, John Creelman wants to reduce its speed limit.
Hockley Road’s speed limit is currently at 70 km/hr and where it intersects at Airport Road, there is a two way stop.
Creelman is lobbying Dufferin County council to drop the speed limit to 50 km/hr on that portion of Hockley Road.
Creelman has put out feelers for the idea on Facebook, and says it’s mostly met with support, while a portion of commenters mistakenly believed the deputy mayor wants a four way stop at Airport and Hockley Roads.
