The Orangeville SPCA has been running it’s bottle drive fundraiser for the past 10 years.
In the first year they raised a mir $500, last year that number jumped to $70 thousand dollars which the Animal Centre depends on to help pay for operating costs.
With the pandemic shutting down volunteers and the bottle drive, a third party has stepped up to help out.
Orangeville Salt and Soil and Rayburn Construction have teamed up to continue the fundraiser at the 540 C-Line location.
Cynthia Rayburn says when Barb McCreath, a volunteer and friend mentioned the predicament, she was all for the idea.
The Animal Centre is also in need of blankets and comforters. Donations can be arranged by contacting the shelter.
