An Orangeville woman who has recently gone blind isn’t letting it slow her down.
Dee Irving, who is the owner of The Happy Place recently had to close her store on Mill Street, and has gone strictly online.
She has also started another online business called Blindeye Dreamcatchers. She says she learned as a child how to make them, and now creates the dreamcatchers by feel.
She adds that it has been very difficult trying to get help during the pandemic as all offices from the CNIB have been closed, and while she is trying to get information on how to learn to read brail, she has been unable to get any.
Irving says that her family has been amazingly supportive and thanks her husband Kevin, sons Logan and Owen for being with her every step of the way.
