Gina says that when her Father arrived in Canada from Greece, he started out with only the money in his pocket. Even though he had nothing, he was always sure to help others.
Gina still lives by that motto to this day. The owner of Nifty Nook Restaurant has spearheaded an initiative to help those in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not only has she opened her kitchen to create meals for those in the community that are not able to make meals for themselves, she has also used her ability to get fruits, vegetables and meat through a wholesaler at a lesser price for those that are struggling financially during the pandemic.
You can often see Gina driving around Orangeville delivering the meals she has prepared to those that request it at no extra charge.
