Another two summer community events are pulling the plug this year due to COVID-19 concerns.
The Orangeville Agricultural Society says the 166th Fall Fair is cancelled and Celebrate Your Awesome is being postponed.
Despite both Toronto Pride and Celebrate Your Awesome are no longer in the works, organizer of Celebrate Your Awesome, Jim Waddington says the spirit of pride and diversity is very much alive.
Waddington says there’s a silver lining in the pandemic, and everyone in the community is stepping up to look out for others.
“Even if you’re staying home, you’re doing your part for the community”, says Waddington.
