Many Ontarians are still living paycheque to paycheque.
According to a new report from BDO Canada, Ontarians find affordability a challenge, especially when it comes to saving for retirement or a big purchase.
Paul Ihnatiuk, BDO vice president, says some people are even finding it hard to pay for everyday necessities.
The report also shows that 4-in-10 Ontarians have non-mortgage debt of over $20,000.
Ihnatiuk says a simple step to help lower debt and save more – have a budget. A budget will allow you to see where you can cut back expenses and allocate more money to retirement savings and paying down debt.
