A large group walked at Island Lake with their dogs in support sheltered animals on Saturday (Sept. 21).
Twelve communities across Ontario, including Orangeville, walked to raise funds for OSPCA programs and services.
Jennifer Yapa, manager at the Orangeville & District Animal Centre, says the fundraising goal for the event is $15,000.
The proceeds go to support overhead costs at the shelter as well as food and medical costs for the sheltered animals.
