The province is helping create new child care spaces at École élémentaire des Quatre-Rivières.
Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones was at the Orangeville school on Friday (Sept. 20) to make the announcement. She adds that her government is investing $1.8-million in French language education – the single largest investment in the province’s history.
Martin Bertrand, director of education at Conseil scolaire Viamonde, says child care spaces are crucial to the board’s expansion and parents that want to start their children early in the Francophone system.
The Progressive Conservative government’s 2019 budget allocated nearly $13-billion toward capital grants over the next decade.
