Fire crews had to be called in from Orangeville, Grand Valley and Rosemont to help battle a blaze at a multi-unit home in Shelburne overnight.
Shortly before midnight, the Shelburne and District Fire Department was called to a three-storey home on Owen Sound Street. Enbridge Gas and Hydro One were also called to the scene.
While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Fire Chief Brad Lemaich reminds people to always watch what they’re cooking.
Chief Lemaich says 11 people have been displaced, but thankfully there were no injuries in the fire.
He adds that firefighters worked flawlessly to bring the blaze under control and limit further property loss.
