Auxiliary Constable Alfonso Ciarcelluti has taken the reigns of the new Dufferin OPP Auxiliary Unit.
Ciarcelluti has been promoted to Auxiliary Staff Sergeant, Unit Commander of the Dufferin OPP Auxiliary Unit.
He has been a member of the OPP Auxiliary for 13 years, having served at both the Caledon and Toronto detachments.
Dufferin OPP’s Auxiliary Unit was recently created. Staff Sergeant Ciarcelluti and Auxiliary Liaison Officer, Detective Clancey McGuire, are actively recruiting members of the community to join the unit.
Auxiliary officers are fully trained volunteers who assist OPP officers with patrols, delivery of traffic safety, community based crime prevention initiatives and various other policing operations.
